Rode an SB150 for a while before a Transition Spire: geometry is still fairly current, but the short chainstay means a tall rider needs a very aggressive style to keep the front wheel weighted.

“Sb150 is still pretty current geo wise, except chainstay is pretty short. At 6-4 you would probably be in an xl and it can require a really aggressive riding style to keep the front wheel weighted.”

Owned an SB150 from new for three years: a race bike that pedals very well, is poppy in the bike park and corners great, but it's unforgiving when tired and in steep tech the rear suspension seems to stop working under braking, so it takes a lot of energy to ride.

“After owning one from brand new for 3 years, I can confirm it is a race bike. If you get tired after a long day, the bike is not very forgiving.”

Owns an SB150 and has ridden a Pivot Firebird: the stock Yeti is a bit less plush but pedals slightly better; with a Cascade link it's plusher than the Firebird and still pedals better, and it fits them better.

“The Firebird feels a bit plusher than the stock Yeti but the Yeti pedals slightly better. I have the cascade link on my SB150, it makes it plusher than the Firebird and it still pedals slightly better.”

Five years and 5,000 km on a 2020 SB150 T2 in Calgary (enduro, bike park and XC): still awesome, very efficient climbing and fast downhill, with zero Switch Infinity issues (greased twice a year).

“I have yeti 2020 sb150 t2. Live in Calgary, so ride enduro trails, bike park, xc trails. 5 years later, still awesome. Love this bike. So efficient climbing and downhill so fast.”
