Bought a 2024 Crux Comp (Crux 4) on sale as their first serious bike after test riding it instead of an e-bike, and is extremely happy with it.

“I am extremely happy I found my 2024 Crux Comp last year on sale. Went to a specialized store thinking about an e-bike, but they seemed so bulky and heavy”

Owns a 2026 Crux 4 Comp since April and loves it; with a trail MTB alongside, they're set, though carbon wheels are on the wish list.

“I have a 2026 crux 4 comp. It’s great. Eyeing carbon wheels but it doesn’t stop me from loving the hell out of the bike.”

Owns a 2023 Crux (Gen 4) alongside fancier race gravel and road bikes; on 45 mm tyres it is so enjoyable that it gets every ride that isn't race pace.

“I have a “fancier” race gravel and road bike but something about the previous crux on 45s is enjoyable. Any ride that’s not race pace or crit-esque, my crux gen 4 is rolling.”

Has ridden several Cruxes, most recently a 2025 Crux Pro (Crux 4), and loves it for Toronto's rough roads and park trails: a set-it-and-forget-it Swiss Army knife for city riding.

“Been riding a mix of Cruxes for the last few years, including my latest 2025 Pro. Love it for Toronto’s mix of (mostly) crappy roads and extensive park trails.”

Owns the 2025 Crux Expert (Crux 4) since last Thanksgiving and loves it so much they ride it more than their full-suspension MTB.

“I love it so much! I ride it more than my FS MTB ever since I got last year thanksgiving”

Uses a 2x Crux 4 with two wheelsets for bad-weather road, travel, gravel races and 500 km+ rides. Loves that it takes standard parts, runs 2x, has ample tyre clearance and keeps up on fast group rides.

“I have no interest in a Crux 5. I love that the 4 takes all standard parts, runs 2x, has ample tire clearance and can keep up just fine on fast group rides.”

Runs 50 mm tyres on their Crux 4 without problems; it rides like a dream, 'Aethos on steroids', and is easier to live with and plenty fast for a non-pro racer.

“I run 50mm tires on my crux 4 no problems. It rides like a dream ... aethos on steroids, which is a very good thing.”

Crux 4 owner can hardly imagine a more perfect bike; it rides like an absolute dream, so they are sticking with it rather than moving to the Crux 5.

“It’s hard for me to imagine a more perfect bike than the Crux 4. I have no interest in internal routing or aero gains and the 4 rides like an absolute dream so I’m sticking with that.”

Switched from a Diverge to a Crux 4 and would never go back, finding the Crux much more fun to ride.

“I went from a diverge to a Crux 4 and I’d never go back. Crux is so much more fun to ride.”

A longtime mountain biker runs 50 mm tyres on their Crux 4 and calls it the best bike they have ever owned and an absolute joy to ride; they would buy another immediately if it were stolen.

“I run 50mm tires on my Crux 4. Best bike I’ve ever owned. An absolute joy to ride. And this is coming from a long time mountain biker.”

Owns a Crux 4 with SRAM 11-speed mechanical, bought in September 2025. Calls it the ultimate quiver killer: light, stiff, fast and plush on 2.0-inch tyres at low pressure, but less snappy than a road bike, jarring on rough gravel, limited in tyre clearance and without UDH.

“It’s incredibly light, stiff, fast and with 2.0” tires at low pressure it’s plush and it shreds!”

Bought a new-old-stock Crux 4 to ride alongside their Diverge and did a century three days later. Loves how fast it feels and keeps up on fast rides even on 45 mm tyres; the handling is as snappy as promised, though lines the Diverge plows through upset the Crux, and the stock Roval Terra C wheels with silent hubs disappoint.

“Immediately 3 days after buying it I took it out on my first Century ride. I am loving how fast it feels. I have been having no problems keeping up with faster rides, even on 45mm Pathfinders.”

Just bought a Crux 4 Expert with Rival XPLR and is stoked on it. Has only swapped the bars, 50 mm Pathfinder tyres and a 48t chainring; it rides amazingly and weighs about 18 lb with pedals.

“Just picked the Rival XPLR expert setup for $3800. Super stoked on it. Every UDH crux 4 outside of S-Works was made in vietnam, I don't think it's really an issue.”

Owns a Crux 4 and a Lauf Seigla race bike. The Seigla is faster, more comfortable and more capable, but they still ride the Crux 4 most of the time because it is fun, snappy and responsive.

“My gravel race bike is faster, more comfortable, and much more capable, but I still ride my Crux 4 the majority of the time. It's just fun.”

Calls their 2025 Crux 4 probably their favourite bike, ahead of an Aethos and a Tarmac. Runs road and gravel wheelsets for an ideal travel setup, and switched to SRAM XPLR, which needs the UDH frame.

“Crux 4 is probably my favorite bike. And I also have an Aethos and a tarmac. It can simply just do it all! I have 2 sets of wheels for it. One with road tires and one with gravel.”

Rode a Crux 4 for almost four years before the Crux 5: light, snappy and lively, a great road bike that could still do cyclocross, 2x compatible and good on gravel; 'think Aethos that happens to fit big tires'.

“The 4 was light, snappy, lively. It made a great road bike and still could do CX. Also is 2x compatible.”
