Owns the same new Speedmax CF SLX: the bike is solid, but the basic aero shield feels very plastic; the bottom plate was cracked out of the box and Canyon sent a replacement plus spare arm pads, which they expect to break sooner or later.

“Bike is solid, but that basic aeroshield is so plastic. I had that bottom plate already cracked straight out of the box.”

Bought the new Speedmax CF SLX in June or July and wishes they had gone with the prior model: the aero shield gaps annoy them, the shield felt flimsy and cracked at one end during installation, and the Pro cockpit costs an extra $999.

“Yeah, I wish I went with the prior model. I got this one back in June or July but have a few things I really don’t like about this new model.”

New Speedmax CF SLX 7 (the new model, size S) bought for triathlon by a 2023 Aeroad owner: looks like a spaceship in person and they're in love, but for a $7,000+ bike the gaps between the aero shield panels are less flush than expected.

“Only slight downside: for a $7,000+ bike, I kinda expected the gaps between the aero shield panels to be a bit more seamless/flush than this. But overall I’m sure I in love again.”
