Has owned a 2025 Synapse Carbon 2 SmartSense since July 2025 and it has been to the shop seven times: a second battery, a fourth radar and cables and a third headlight, most recently eight weeks in the shop. Cannondale only offered to remove SmartSense with €600 for lights; their shop is now swapping the bike for another one.

Brand-new 2025 Synapse Carbon 3 SmartSense, their first road bike: on both of the first two 30+ mile rides the SmartSense system shut down, leaving them stuck in one gear without lights. It spent weeks at the dealer; Cannondale blamed a defective battery and offered a $500 goodwill refund but declined a return, and they no longer trust the bike and plan to sell it.
